Healing Touch is an energy therapy in which practitioners consciously use their hands in a heart-centered and intentional way to support and facilitate physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health.
Healing Touch is a biofield (magnetic field around the body) therapy that is an energy-based approach to health and healing.
Healing Touch uses the gift of touch to influence the human energy system, specifically the energy field that surrounds the body, and the energy centers that control the flow from the energy field to the physical body.
These non-invasive techniques employ the hands to clear, energize, and balance the human and environmental energy fields, thus affecting physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. It is based on a heart-centered, caring relationship in which the practitioner and client come together energetically to facilitate the client's health and healing.
The goal of Healing Touch is to restore balance and harmonies in the energy system, placing the client in a position to self heal.

Dealing with your emotions after a traumatic event can be difficult. Although the event has ended, the memories may last for months or years to come. The trauma becomes trapped in the energy system. There are multiple research studies that demonstrate, adult illnesses/diseases are caused by childhood trauma.
Most people that have gone through a traumatic situation do not want to keep re-living it. Something may trigger the release of the stored emotions from the event and the person reacts without knowing why. Energy-based therapies such as Healing Touch offer a healing sequence for releasing stuck fear patterns and bring a sense of calm to the individual. For most people, talking about a trauma, having to re-live the event and continually bring up emotions can be traumatic in itself. Wit the techniques that I use, a person does not have to even identify the trauma. We don't have to discuss the event(s). This takes away the fear for clients who do not want to relive some uncomfortable experiences.
Energy-based biofield techniques, such as Healing Touch are done in a specific sequence and can help persons with post-traumatic stress syndrome, chronic patterns of fear, panic and anxiety. This causes a shift in their energetic field allowing the fear-based energetic patterns to shift to a new response of calm and compassion. This feeling of calm helps to produce the relaxation response, thus allowing our bodies to heal.
This energetic therapy can provide long lasting effects for people with PTSD, panic attacks, chronic anxiety and obsessive thinking. Each time that this technique is used, it has a cumulative effect as energetic changes last from one session to another.
For some people suffering with symptoms of PTSD, chronic stress, abuse, trauma, illness or accidents, the emotions of anger and fear are held in our bodies in our emotional brain...energetic trauma release techniques can help to release those "emotional triggers" and re pattern the brain with peace and calm.

The Role of a Grief Counselor
Grief is a natural reaction to loss that is experienced universally throughout the world. It is found in every culture, every religion and found on every continent. No-one escapes its grasp or eludes it touch.
Yet, it is part of existence and a basis of being alive. If we do not grieve, what did we ever achieve? What wondrous experiences or relationships were ever felt if loss was not capable? If we had nothing to ever lose or grieve over then we truly never had anything worth to live for. This is the double edge sword of grief. It is a necessary evil in a fallen world. Perhaps the poet was wrong when he exclaimed it is better to never loved at all than to have lost it. Grief is a loss - it is more than losing a loved one to death. Helping people grasp with this emotion is the role of the Grief Counselor. The grief counselor helps people come to grips with loss and adapt to the new norm. The Grief Counselor comes not to take away the pain of loss but to help the person adjust to the loss. The loss remains an integral part of the person’s life story.
I am a certified grief counselor. I do not hold individual counseling sessions. I use the information in my assessment, evaluation and feedback of my client's needs. This education has added depth to my energy work.
Healing Touch for Animals.
I am a Laugher Yoga coach. The goal with Laughter Yoga is to release trauma. This is another technique in my toolbox for me to help my clients release traumas.
Laughter yoga (Hasyayoga) is a unique concept in which anyone can laugh without jokes, comedy or humor. In Laughter yoga, the laughter starts as exercise. It is usually done in groups, with eye contact and playfulness between participants. Laughter is infectious and contagious! What starts as intentional “fake” laughter soon becomes very real. It is called laughter yoga because it combines pranyama or yogic breathing with voluntary laughter or laughter exercises. Laughter yoga is based on the scientific fact that intentional laughter provides the same physiological and emotional benefits as spontaneous laughter. I hold Laughter Yoga classes twice monthly.
Why do people practice it?
Laughter yoga provides emotional, social and physical benefits. In our stressful lives, laughter yoga elevates the mood and reduces stress. It strengthens the immune system. Laughter yoga is a powerful cardio workout and just 10 minutes of hearty laughter is equal to 30 minutes on the rowing machine. It increases blood circulation and relaxes the muscles. Healing Touch for Animals® (HTA) teaches pet owners and animal advocates specific techniques and applications to promote wellness, provide support through injury or illness, help with behavior issues and enhance the animal/human bond.
All living beings have an energy field that can become compromised as a result of various life experiences. The healing support of HTA assists animals and their people in restoring a natural, healthy state of balance.
I have completed Levels 1 and 2 of Healing Touch for Animals. I adopted a dog this year, Jaxson. Healing Touch for Animals has helped him tremendously.
Essential Oils - Young Living
I have a private collection of essential oils. With my client's permission, oils may be used during a therapy session. Essential Oils increases the vibrational frequency which promotes health and wellness. I choose the oil based on the individual needs and my intuition.
I provide Raindrop Technique. Raindrop Technique was developed by D. Gary Young as a way to reduce spinal inflammation and help detox the body of viruses and bacteria that lodge along the spine. It is also a great preventative means of boosting your immune system.
Essential oils high in phenols are dropped gently along the spine and massaged into the back and feet with feather-like strokes. It is a non-invasive and effective modality that takes about 45 minutes, although the oils continue to work for up to a week.
